Why Christians should not follow Joel Osteen

9 Mar

As a quasi-pantheist that makes the ears of many tingle. This smiling pansy is all that is wrong with American evangelicalism in general.

A non-judgmental indulgent grandfather is what god is about according to such preachers. Ignoring the unpleasant bits of the bible where god unleashes his fierce anger and wrath against evil.

A lion emasculated and his claws pared is what such preachers preach. In league with Satan and satisfying the fallen sinful nature of man. It is no surprise that he has the biggest church in America.

Not going to lie. I got a minute and a half in and couldn’t watch anymore.

This is what counts for evangelical christianity in America those days. Aww you missed the good part at: 4:43-5:13. That preacher was making fun of joel so hilarious.

Watched it through. That was hilarious. And what passes for evangelism is bullshit.

Good freakin’ grief. I’ve always had a bit of disdain for this emasculated piece of crap that passes for a pastor but that video cemented my opinion that God has no warriors anymore. Confront this loser and he’ll cower in a corner whereas God if my interpretation of the gospel is correct, wants us to fight evil in it’s many forms no matter the consequences. Really good post and I’m adding you to my blogroll also.

You got your warriors right here. Also here are some examples that god does indeed still have warriors:

My goodness! Joel was treading lightly with the questions thrown at him. Its shame how people change their ideas that they believe in so that they do not offend anyone. I believe that everyone is entitled to speak their minds but unfortunately in these so called “Modern Times” we have too many sensitive people around who might take offense to Joel really speaking his mind. They made him look like a fool!

No point changing your ideas to get approval after all didn’t Jesus teach?

      Matthew 5:13

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its
saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
