Brain chipping

Brain chipping

A scary future awaits us all. With the potential for not only the transmission of information out of the brain but into the brain. Perhaps a gateway to mind control?

There was a book I read as a young adult about this. Fiction, and along the tired genre of “utopia turned dystopian” like Brave New World, but still pretty good for a light, quick read. I believe it was called Feed.

    Scary stuff, to be sure.

        Indeed.

Interested to hear you opinion on how you are to deal with such a situation should it arise.

Are we operating under the premise that such “chipping” would be mandatory in our society? Or does one have the option of going without?

        Yep.

Well, if it was optional I would not do it. They may be able to “perfect” it later and get rid of some of the issues they are having…but I’m not interested. I care about my mind far too much to allow such mucking about in it.

Were it mandatory, I’d resist for as long as possible while still living in the US, then move to a different country that’s *not* trying to turn its citizens into neuro-cyborgs.

If that fails, there’s always countries with small villages/wilderness. Roughing it for the rest of my life with other refugees isn’t ideal, but it’d be better than the alternative. Hopefully I’ll have found a way to make myself infertile before then so I don’t have the specter of pregnancy looming over me all the time.
